Financial crime is an umbrella term used to describe criminal offences such as fraud, money laundering and tax evasion. Our specialist Financial Crime Team understands that being investigated for such offences can be disruptive to your business as well as a distressing experience for you. Financial crime is prosecuted by different bodies depending on the nature of the offence and related business activities. These bodies include the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA), HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), the Fraud Prosecution Service (FPS) and the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Our specialist Financial Crime Team has extensive experience of financial crime and the manpower required to quickly assess the large volumes of material common in these matters (especially in very high cost or VHCC cases and carousel / missing trader or mtic fraud). We also have ready access to additional expertise such as forensic accountants and computer experts should your case require it. In addition to prosecution, it is commonplace in financial crime matters for the authorities to seize and freeze your assets. Our Financial Crime Team are experts in seizure, forfeiture and confiscation proceedings.

We are available 24 hours a day for emergency attendances whether onsite during a raid by the authorities or to represent you at the police station if you are arrested.
